Veteran's Memorials

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs has changed its veteran’s memorial policy to permit the government-issued memorial to be installed on a grave along with additional memorialization. In the past, when other memorialization existed, veterans were not entitled to the complimentary government memorial.

To provide the highest level of recognition and honor for veterans interred in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, we have amended our Rules and Regulations to allow the placement of a government-issued memorial in addition to existing memorialization. We can assist you in ordering a veteran’s memorial for your loved one, for placement at the foot of the gravesite to supplement your existing memorialization. The only fee associated with this enhancement is a nominal amount for the granite foundation and the perpetual care. The memorial itself will be provided free of charge by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
